GEN John W. Vessey Jr. Chapter (Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN)

June 2009:  MG (Ret) George Steiner, former Commanding General of the 88th ARCOM and COL (Ret) Tom Haugo visited wounded soldiers at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. COL Haugo is very active in other veteran activities and is an Army Reserve Ambassador for Minnesota. This is a regular function for them, representing the GEN John Vessey Chapter of AUSA. The chapter also provides Fleece blankets, made by members, to newly arrived soldiers to help to bring color into their rooms and make the atmosphere more "cozy".

May 2009 - Shipped 26 pounds of coffee to the 847th Personnel Company, currently deployed to
Iraq.  The cost of postage was $48.60.  The Vessey Chapter regularly ships coffee to deployed units.  It is always much appreciated.
