CAB Soldiers toughen their skills in FTX

CAB hosts community leaders at airfield

The Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, held a community day at Fort Riley’s Marshall Army Airfield Nov.16. Leaders from the communities the CAB is partnered with attended the event to learn more about the brigade. The event allowed partnership members to interact with each other and discover the extent of the brigade’s community involvement while learning about the unit from CAB Soldiers.


CAB Soldiers bring strengths to Task Force Nightmare

Soldiers from various units throughout the Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, joined together to form Task Force Nightmare in order to support 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, during their rotation at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, La. from Nov 4 to Nov 18.


RC flying provides mentor opportunities

Flying remote controlled aircraft is a hobby that requires an investment of time and patience. With a little dedication a person can learn to master the controls of various types of RC aircraft, causing small machines, and big imaginations, to take flight. The skill of flying RC aircraft has allowed Chief Warrant Officer 2 Eric McKnight to serve other Soldiers, giving them a chance to get caught up in flying with him every Monday night at the Warrior Transition Battalion.
