There is Still a Chance to Run the Race!
This year’s Army Ten-Miler sold out its 30,000 registrations in a record –breaking six days.
However, there is still a chance to enter the Army’s race through the Army Ten-Miler online transfer program.
The transfer program will open May 15 and run through Aug. 14.
The online transfer process is secure and easy to use.
Sellers are responsible for finding buyers and coordinating payment terms. The actual transfer of registration is conducted online and a small administration fee is applied.
All parties receive an e-mail confirming that the transaction has been processed.
Historically, 1,200 --1,500 runners enter the Army’s race through the online transfer program.
The “Bulletin Board” section of the race’s Web site, www.armytenmiler.com, is available for registered runners and non-registered runners to connect.
Race officials stress that runners are more likely to be successful if “they leverage their existing family, work and social networks.”
The Army Ten-Miler is produced by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington.
AUSA and KBR are lead sponsors for this year’s 25th anniversary race Oct. 4, starting at 8 a.m. at the Pentagon. For more race information visit www.armytenmiler.com.
